TASI falls 0.22% during Sunday’s mid-session

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (TASI) General Index fell 0.22% to 10,971 points by midday on Sunday, losing 23.78 points from its previous close.

The session saw trading of 102.48 million shares with a total value of SAR 1.80 billion, distributed among 74 companies that gained value compared to 181 companies that recorded a decline in market value, while the prices of 14 companies remained unchanged.

The index moved within a range of 37.02 points during the session, reaching a high of 10,996.46 points and a low of 10,959.44 points.

The main downward pressure came from the basic materials sector, which fell by 1.32% with a trading volume of SAR 295.95 million, followed by the pharmaceuticals sector, down 1.01%, and consumer services, down 0.98%.

Conversely, the utilities sector led the gains with a 0.98% rise, supported by a 2.09% increase in ACWA Power shares, while the food production sector rose by 0.38%.

Among the top gainers, Kingdom Holding led the gains with a 6.38% rise to SAR 11.01, followed by Enaya, which rose 6.16% to SAR 12.06, hitting a 52-week high of SAR 12.17 during the session.

Solutions’ shares rose 3.02% to SAR 228.4, following the Capital Market Authority’s (CMA) approval of the company’s request to increase its capital through a bonus share issue.
